Frances Hochschild

Frances has worked on a number of searches in higher education for a variety of positions, including president, vice president, and dean.

She brings to Storbeck/Pimentel a wealth of experience in human capital and recruiting from her work in professional services organizations, having served in multiple capacities at both Bain & Company and the San Francisco-based investment bank, Robertson Stephens. At Bain she served most recently as West Coast Human Resources Manager where her human capital projects included working on the firm’s affirmative action plan. While at Robertson Stephens, in addition to serving as Director of Human Resources for the firm, she served as Chief of Staff and Chief Administrative Officer for the Investment Banking department and was responsible for all talent management. 

Over her career, Frances has also been an independent consultant and business advisor, working on human capital, recruiting, professional development, and other strategic, operational, and administrative projects for clients including Vector Capital, Hall Capital Partners, Francisco Partners, Sitecore Corporation, and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. 

Frances’s project management and strategic strengths also reflect prior work at Gap, Inc. and as a consultant at Bain & Company. Frances began her career at Lehman Brothers in New York as a financial analyst in mergers and acquisitions.
